A Secret From An Autumn Leaf 11/05/2017 While going through memorabilia (I'm working on a Christmas project I should have started in April) I came across a copy of a watercolor my Mom painted quite a few years ago. (I love when I stumble across these wonder filled gems.) The painting brought me back to a neighborhood filled with sweet memories. The mood of the watercolor even Eric Sloan (he was one of Mama's favorite watercolor artists) could not duplicate. The mood created through carefully chosen colors and objects that triggered

Devil's Night and wise words 10/30/2017 Toilet paper, a carton of eggs (maybe two), and a bar of Ivory soap...nothing more was needed to have a perfect Devil's night in my old neighborhood. John and I went to the grotto in town to say the rosary in thanksgiving for this event which was the “sign” our Blessed Mother Mary promised to give the three shepherd children so “more people would

Angels and an old song 09/29/2017 September 29 feast of the ARCHANGELS. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael... I thought of these Angels as I began drying the morning dishes then an old love song, STREET OF DREAMS, began playing in my head and the Angels took leave. I don't know all the lyrics but the melody is romantic and its sentiments are words that often trigger memories from things my parents would talk about from their "good old days". (Songs back then had lyrics from the heart.) "...Gold silver and gold, all you can hold
